Now at v0.7.1, released October 5, 2026. Early alpha.

Changelog

Every release of Aspectobots, newest first, in plain English. The site shows the current version in every footer.

Version numbers stay at 0.x for the whole early alpha. The middle number goes up when something new ships, the last number when we only fix things. 1.0 comes when the alpha ends.

0.7.1 The Aspectora framework

Changed

  • How it's built now explains the Aspectora framework: Sym Services' own modular system that Aspectobots is the first module of, and that our accounts, support desk, staff dashboard and page layout are shared through.

0.7.0 Open build

You can now see what changed, when, and how the whole thing is made.

New

  • This changelog, published on the site and updated with every release.
  • The version number in every footer, linked here.
  • How it's built: who builds Aspectobots, the AI that writes most of the code, the tools and hosting we use, and how a change gets from an idea to the live site.

Changed

  • Nothing goes live without a changelog entry: our deploy tool stops unless each release has a new version number and its notes on this page.

0.6.0 Studio polish and staff 2FA

New

  • A live, Discord-style preview of your panels while you set up a bot in the Studio.
  • Download your bot's code on Architect and up: a zip under the MIT license that runs on any PHP host. Your bot token is never in it.
  • Staff 2FA setup shows a scannable QR code (made on our own server, so the key never goes to an outside service), the apps that work, and every detail for typing it in by hand.

Changed

  • Every page has the site menu and the full footer now, the Studio and the staff dashboard included. The phone menu adds Terms, Security, Server builds and Support.
  • The holiday theme switch moved out of the footer and into Studio Settings, where it follows your account.

Fixed

  • The site said exported bots come as a Docker image. They don't: they run on any PHP host. The wording now says so.

0.5.0 The Studio opens

The site became a product site, and the early alpha began.

New

  • Customer bots: connect your own Discord app in the Studio, then set up a rules gate, button roles and tickets on your servers.
  • Plans: Resident, Commons, Architect and Guild, with limits enforced on our server. Billing is still off.
  • Security and your token: why we need your bot token, what it can do, how we protect it and where that protection stops.
  • A support desk with departments. Email to support@, security@ and our other addresses becomes a ticket, answered in one place.
  • Member settings: your name, email change, Night or Day and holiday themes that follow your account, sign out everywhere, and download all your data.
  • Staff onboarding: invites, signed volunteer agreements, a security quiz, and a register of the AI helpers on the team.
  • Staff 2FA backup codes, and a password reset by email for the one emergency admin login.

Changed

  • The site runs behind Cloudflare's free plan for protection and speed.
  • Visit statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
  • An early alpha strip on every page, and honest lists of what works today, what's being built and what's next.

0.4.0 Aspecto goes to work

New

  • Aspecto, our own bot, runs our Discord servers: button roles, tickets with transcripts sent to you, and a Halloween trick-or-treat.
  • The rules gate: plain-English house rules and one "I'm in" button.
  • Accounts: sign in to the Studio with Discord or a one-time email link. No passwords.
  • The staff dashboard: Discord sign-in plus an authenticator code, and a log of every staff action.
  • Server builder: starter messages can link straight to a channel.

Changed

  • Role-play template: moderators can see and moderate every scene.

0.3.0 Server builds and the Showcase

New

  • The server builder and the Server builds page.
  • The Aspectobots Showcase, our second Discord server, where features are tried before they reach everyone.
  • Our main Discord server, rebuilt as a Community server from a blueprint.
  • A holiday calendar for the site's themes, with a switch for anyone who'd rather not.
  • Halloween everywhere: the site, link previews, icons and both Discord servers.

Fixed

  • The costume hanger no longer jumps away from the mouse on desktop.

0.2.0 Requests, prices and Halloween

New

  • A board of real feature requests from other bots' users, each linked to where it was posted. Drag, resize and rearrange the cards.
  • Market check: price comparisons with other Discord bots, every number sourced and linked.
  • The Halloween season: pumpkin theme, an aurora sky, costumes and a wardrobe for the 3D bot. The classic look stays one switch away.

Changed

  • Our prices are marked as early prototype prices, subject to change.

0.1.0 First light

New

  • The first Aspectobots site, with a roster you can join for updates.
  • A staff dashboard for the roster and the tools to put changes live.
  • Aspecto gets its name, profile art and an animated 3D server icon.
Early alpha

Welcome to the early alpha

Aspectobots is live and in a complete beta test. It works, it will break sometimes, and features, plans and prices will change as we go.

Billing isn't on yet. When it is, subscriptions fund the growth, and supporters get a louder voice in what we build.
